Let’s see how to update our table settings for Fall in 5 easy steps.
Around here the dining room table stays set. We never really use it.
You can definitely still do this and actually use your space.
It is just for looks. I guess you could say it is one of my hobby spaces. I enjoy fluffing and rearranging it over and over.
Oh, never mind. I do that with the whole house!

Our dining room is open to my craft room, so it is an extension of my happy place.
The Christmas tree is in the dining room and is the one that I have been changing for the seasons.
It is such a happy room with all of the twinkle lights that can be seen from the craft room.
I just looked up and realized that I need to swap my desks. The one I work at the most has me with my back to the beautiful dining room. The other side that I have set up for sewing, faces the dining room.
The desk swap just moved to the top of my to do list!
Check these out if you want to start a seasonal tree tradition.
Now, let’s get to how to update the table settings for Fall.
First, add a pretty place mat
Then, add a pink pumpkin to the floral place setting that is already there from Summer. Those floral plates are out of stock so I linked some other beautiful plates.
Next, place some flickering candles on an easy to make footed tray that is in the center of the table.
See how to make a footed tray of your own here.
Now we need some pretty flowers in a vase.
If you don’t already have twinkle lights or a seasonal tree, add a string of lights. Just magic!
Then, for a bonus, add a soft throw to grab if you get cold.
This throw is just a sweater blanket.
That glittery pumpkin comes from a tutorial I followed from my friend Janine at Happy Happy Nester a few years ago.
Do yourself a huge favor and head over to see her.
It is the kind of craft I love.
Super simple, fast and beautiful! I bring it out every year.
Tip: Store decor items by season so you can find and use things every year
I also like to update the kitchen counter for each season too.
Put some flowers, candles, and some vintage doilies on a tray.
This marble tray has been used all over.
Tip: Invest in decor that can be used in multiple places
I used the same placemats for the kitchen counter that were used in the dining room. I did change the plates though. Just used what I already had.
Then put a pink pumpkin in the center of the place setting.
These were from Hobby Lobby. Here are some similar.
Instant Fall!
No twinkle lights here, but it would be wonderful.
This is probably the quickest Fall update there ever was!
Quick change from Summer….
To Fall….
I can’t spend much time on Fall when my mind is on Christmas already.
