I know I say it every time!
But!
Why did I wait so long!!
What do you think?
If you are just joining, you may want to check out Week One, Two, Three, Four and Five.
Let’s remember the before…
It wasn’t too bad, right?
That was my everything “beige” decor period.
Let’s look at a couple more before and afters.
Do you love before and afters as much as I do?
Let me just remind you….
Paint is a miracle worker!!
Warning! This is a photo heavy post!
I couldn’t stop taking pictures.
If you remember when my son and I were trying to get this armoire out of here? The plan was to get rid of it and get a small table or dresser for this area.
It ended up breaking apart and the legs fell off!
It’s funny now, but it was not funny then!
That’s when it came to me to use just the bottom part instead of getting something new.
Since the legs had to be replaced, I replaced the legs on all of the furniture.
I found these black legs on Amazon and painted them gold.
Right after I painted them I didn’t like it and wiped it off. The result of wiping the paint off looked pretty good, so I did it to all of them.
Then, I painted all of the furniture white and all of the hardware gold with my favorite gold spray paint.
Look at those legs now!
Here I’m using the footed tray I completed during this challenge.
Turned out perfect for this room!
Changing the king size bed out for the queen size made a huge difference.
The room looks SO much bigger.
Of course the pink bed makes all the difference too!
This headboard has little diamond crystals on it and then I put one of the pearl curtain panels over it for added glam.
For the windows, I put a white textured curtain panel behind the sheer pearl curtain panel.
Trying to decorate with a little more color, so when I saw this lamp I knew it would be just the thing the room needed.
I was still a little worried it was too much, but my daughter reassured me it was just perfect.
Thank you sweetie.
I really do love it. Embracing the color!

A few detail shots…..
You can see the headboard detail a little better here.
I put the pearl curtain panel over the headboard when I was getting ready to hang the curtains and realized I liked how it looked on the headboard.
A lot of happy accidents in this makeover.
Here’s a little of the chaos right before the finish….
I think Dolli likes it.
