How To Embellish A Dog Collar

I can’t believe I came up with this brilliant idea to embellish a dog collar and make it super girly! You will not believe how easy it is!

Just look at this….

That is our little Dolli girl. She is a year and a half old shihtzu bichon mix that I am trying to make into a girly girl. She doesn’t always cooperate.

Okay, let me tell you my big secret.

Start with a band of flowers. I found this at Hobby Lobby in the area that has little girl jewelry and accessories.

They had some little pearl necklaces that made it into the cart for Dolli to wear too! *not affiliate links just like them*

First, cut the twine ties off and then dry fit it to the collar you plan to use.

Perfect fit!

I put hot glue directly on the band that the flowers are on.

Then put the two pieces together and then glue anywhere there are gaps in the glue.

We don’t want this to come apart.

And just that fast it is done!

You can pull the random glue strings off later.

Now to find my girly girl Dolli.

She needs a haircut, but it looks cute right off the bat.

I’m pretty sure she likes it!

Well, maybe not.

I sure love it though and she doesn’t seem to mind.

Here she is after her haircut.

I wouldn’t leave her unattended with it on just in case she gets a hold of it. I’m sure she would shred it or eat it. That’s what she likes to do.
