I have had this scrapbook room makeover in mind for quite awhile. I saw a scrapbook room photo in a magazine years ago with a pink desk.
Well, guess who has a pink desk?

The pink and white desk is my absolute favorite!
I will link as much as I can at the end of the post. Just let me know if you have any questions.
Here are some before photos during the clean out
Always worse before it gets better
Love the light in this room. This is when I was trying desk arrangements. This one didn’t win.
There was a pink velvet sofa I was thinking about for this room, but it was on backorder.
I ended up ordering a white velvet sofa cover
It is really pretty and soft, but I didn’t like how the bottom of the sofa looked. An old duvet cover did the trick.
A chair I found at a thrift store. I just love the floral back. The seat not so much.
Here it is after a little makeover. Now it fits my style.
I wasn’t sure if I liked these white velvet curtains when I first put them up. The thought of taking them down and patching the holes made me like them more. Haha!
When I did the clean out of this room, I told myself I would donate all the scrapbook paper that did not fit in this bamboo thingie. I almost made it. There is also a rolling basket under the desk.
There it is! I put little rollers under it so it will roll in and out with ease.
One of my favorite views. You can even see the pink ceiling. There is a floral poof under the desk to put my legs up.
This is another of those black file cabinets that got a nice coat of white paint and new drawer pulls. The basket in the corner holds a bunch of my faux flowers when they are not in use. The little basket holds some magazines and the pillow I found years ago at a flea market.
The light switch plate even got an update. Home Depot had a nickel color plate that got a quick makeover with spray paint and some faux pearls. Here I was trying to decide between the tiny pearls on the left side or the bigger pearls on the right.
The bigger size won!

The front closet got a makeover too. I will show you that in an upcoming post. I want to leave the door open all the time.
Here is a closeup of one of the cabinets before
What a difference!

Now, on to Christmas decor. See where I added the same curtains, blinds, and rug in the dining room too?
Done!
My new favorite view with the Valentine’s Day tree in the background!
Dolli approves!
