Cream the butter, peanut butter, sugars, egg, and vanilla by hand or in a mixer on low.
Mix the dry ingredients together in a separate bowl
Add the dry ingredients to the creamed mixture
Use 2 teaspoons to place dough onto greased or parchment lined cookie sheets a few inches apart
Dip a fork into water or flour and crisscross and very lightly press dough
Bake at 375 degrees for about 10-12 minutes
Cool a bit then transfer to cooling rack or paper towels to cool
